Therapy is about change, growth,
& goals, not just talk.

My professional philosophy is to create a true authentic connection with each client to understand how their past and present issues are creating barriers to living the life they want to lead and obtaining the future goals that they would like to achieve. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families; the objective is to discover what changes in perspectives, behaviors, and emotions will be most beneficial and then working together to ensure that these changes occur.

I attended Colorado State University for my undergraduate education, completing my BS in Psychology. In 2004. I then took a couple years to enjoy the mountain lifestyle and recreational opportunities here in Eagle County. After those two years, I pursued my graduate studies at the University of Denver and obtained my MA in Counseling Psychology in 2008. I went on to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and have been working as a clinician for 15 years. I have spent the majority of this time working in Community Behavioral Health, supporting my community’s needs and treating clients with all presenting issues and from a large variety of demographics. Through my professional career, I have pursued ongoing training in a variety of therapeutic modalities. I have completed training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and more. The combination of my continuing training in these treatment modalities and 15 years of clinical experience; provides me with a vast background of experience and a flexible skill set that helps me work with a large variety of clients and issues that they are facing.

I grew up outside of Chicago and moved out to Colorado after high school. While completing my undergraduate education, I quickly fell in love with all of the adventures and activities that the mountains have to offer. After taking a bit of time to enjoy the mountain lifestyle, I was committed to establishing my future in the mountains. I now balance my time between spending time with my wonderful family, my professional pursuits, and the personal activities that most often find me in nature. I enjoy adventures of all kinds with my wife, two children, and dog. I encourage all my clients to live a balanced life and have worked hard to ensure that I am doing the same.
